Privacy Policy

At GooIng we respect your privacy. This policy explains what personal data we collect at www.gooing.uy (including its blog), what we use it for, who we share it with and how you can exercise your rights. It is governed by the laws of the Oriental Republic of Uruguay, in particular Law No. 18,331 on Personal Data Protection and Habeas Data Action and its regulations.

GooIng is responsible for the processing of the personal data collected on this site. For any question about privacy you can write to us at legal@gooing.uy.

What data we collect and why

Contact form

Name, company, email, project status, how you found us and your message. We use them to answer your inquiry and, where appropriate, prepare a proposal.

"Work with us" form

Name, email, area of interest, LinkedIn profile or portfolio, the link to your résumé and your message. We use them to evaluate your profile for current or future selection processes (talent pool). Only the GooIng people involved in selection have access to them. We keep your application for a maximum of 24 months, unless you ask us to delete it sooner. If you want us to stop accessing your résumé, you can remove the link's permission at any time. This form is intended for people over 18 years of age.

Navigation and statistics

On some pages we use Google Analytics to learn which pages are visited, from what type of device and from which country or approximate city. We use this information in aggregate form to improve the site, not to identify you personally.

Language preference

If you choose another language with the menu selector (ES, EN, PT), we save that preference in your browser (local storage, not a cookie) to take you to the version of the page in that language. Translations are generated when the site is published: during your visit, neither the page content nor the data you type into the forms is sent to any translation service.

Technical data

As on any website, our hosting and content providers receive technical data from your connection, such as the IP address and browser type, which are needed to show you the pages and protect them from abuse.

Who we share data with

GooIng does not sell or transfer your personal data. Only these providers receive or process it, on GooIng's behalf:

  • Google (Firebase Hosting and Google Cloud): hosting of the site and the blog.
  • Google Analytics: visit statistics.
  • Google reCAPTCHA: protection of the forms against automated use (spam). To do so it analyzes data about the device and the interaction with the page. Its use is subject to Google's Privacy Policy and Terms of Service.
  • Formspree: receives the contact and job application forms and forwards them to us by email.
  • YouTube: videos embedded on some pages.

We may also disclose data when required by law or a court order.

International data transfer

The listed providers may store or process data outside Uruguay, including in the United States. By submitting a form, you consent to that transfer, in accordance with Article 23 of Law No. 18,331.

Cookies

We use cookies only in these cases:

  • Google Analytics (on some pages): _ga and _ga_* cookies, to tell visits apart. They last up to 2 years.
  • reCAPTCHA (on pages with forms): _GRECAPTCHA cookie, for risk analysis. It lasts up to 6 months.
  • YouTube (on pages with videos): when the videos load, YouTube may use its own cookies.

The blog does not use cookies. You can delete or block cookies from your browser settings, and turn off Google Analytics with its opt-out add-on. The site keeps working without cookies.

Commercial communications

We will only send you news or offers by email if you gave us your consent. You can unsubscribe at any time by replying to those messages or writing to legal@gooing.uy.

Your rights

In accordance with Law No. 18,331, you may request access to your personal data and its rectification, update, inclusion or deletion.

To exercise these rights, write to legal@gooing.uy stating your request and proving your identity. We will respond to access requests within five business days of receipt, and to rectification, update, inclusion or deletion requests within a maximum of five business days. Access is free of charge at six-month intervals.

If you believe we did not handle your request, you may file a complaint with the Personal Data Regulatory and Control Unit (URCDP).

Security

We apply technical and organizational measures to protect your data: the site works only over an encrypted connection (HTTPS), the forms are protected against automated use, and access to the information we receive is limited to the people who need it. We review these measures periodically.

Links to other sites

This site may include links to third-party sites. By following them, you leave www.gooing.uy and the privacy policies of those sites apply, over which GooIng has no control.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy. The current version is the one published on this page, with its update date.
